Los Angeles-based Make Room Gallery presents a series of new oil paintings by Chinese artist Yuri Yuan . Combining imagination and observation, Yuri’s landscapes explore the concept of landscape as a “ghost” that harbors personal and collective narratives , haunting our present. With a predominantly blue, green and red color palette, set at various times of day and seasons, these paintings evoke a sense of impending danger and an undercurrent of violence.
