Wang Huimeng’s solo exhibition Ode to Orderly Joy is currently on view at Borland Project Space at Penn State University, curated by Lonnie Graham.
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, the gallery functions as a rehearsal set, where the Penn State Concert Choir rehearses for Ode to Orderly Joy, a musical performance commenting on today’s fraught political climate. The performance will take place in Penn State Downtown Theatre Center during the final week of the exhibition. The audience can visit the gallery during both rehearsal hours and non-rehearsal hours, witnessing how the performance develops over the duration of three weeks.
