Liu Xin is the art curator of the MIT Media Lab's Space Exploration Initiative, which develops technologies, tools and experiences for a new space age. She explores narratives related to space, time and personal identity, often weaving advanced technologies into her work, such as sending a wisdom tooth into space by a robotic device and encased in a crystalline container. Liu trained as an engineer at Tsinghua University in China and then earned a master's degree from MIT.
