Our post-modern media landscape, just as Jean Baudrillard has argued, deconstructs violence and genuineness through repetition and spectacularization. A.S.M.R., with its sensual (stimulating) and soothing character, is a metaphor for the media’s effort to both entertain (stimulate) and heal the audience. This video creates a dictionary for the future ASMR experiences we will have through our media: from tingling to trance.
