Make Room Los Angeles is excited to showcase a group presentation featuring 14 artists from different origins, including Christian Quin Newell, Erica Mahinay, Jacopo Pagin, Kira Maria Shewfelt, linn meyers, Peng Ke, Saba Farhoudnia, Shana Hoehn, Sophia Anthony, Yassi Mazandi, Yesiyu Zhao, Yoab Vera, Youngmin Park for the 2024 edition of ART021 Shanghai.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary life, culture, and personal experiences, these artists explore the inner anxieties and insecurities of modern people through their canvases and beyond. Whether using gestural brushstrokes or delicate depictions, they create surreal and psychedelic painterly worlds that reveal the uneasy tension and psychological desires of the human experience. Despite their various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, the artists share a collective insight into the inner world of contemporary society, hinting at the universal tensions experienced in our increasingly crowded and interconnected world.
